- Temple Built from Divine Gold: According to the Sthala Purana, Lord Rama stayed at the hermitage of Dridanetra Muni after his victory over Ravana. Following the sage’s advice, Rama created a cow of pure gold and gifted it to a poor devotee. The devotee used this gold to build the temple — hence the name “Sempon” (pure gold) Sei Kovil.
