Located just 6 km west of Thiruvarur, Tirukkannamangai is revered as Krishamangala Kshetram, a sacred Divya Desam in the Chozhanadu region. This temple is spiritually significant as it is believed that Goddess Lakshmi herself worshipped Lord Vishnu here, giving the site its divine name Lakshmi Vanam. Devotees strongly believe that spending even a single day in this kshetram can grant liberation from the cycle of birth and death.

Unique Legends and Features:

Another unique spiritual aspect is the story of Tirukkannamangai Aandaan, a devoted disciple of Naadamuni, who is said to have merged with the deity here in the form of divine light, a rare and profound event in Vaishnavite tradition.
There is also a stunning sculpture of Lord Vishnu on Garuda, radiating the majestic energy of the deity.
