Pleased by Shiva’s penance, Lord Vishnu manifested before him accompanied by Sri Devi, Bhu Devi, and Nila Devi.
Upon Shiva’s humble request, Vishnu agreed to remain in 11 different forms across Tirunangur — forming the sacred 11 Divya Desams revered especially during the Thai month festival.
